The much awaited backlink from Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT) to Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed (SMBZ) highway is to open this month, mentioned the roadways and Transport Authority (RTA). “Furthermore, the vehicles is scheduled to flow properly from Sheikh Zayed Road in the direction of these communities, courtesy a vital tunnel opened this past March,” Maitha bin Udai, Chief Executive Officer of the Traffic and Roads Agency at the RTA said. At a later stage, the remainder of the connections as part of the crossing of Al Saada Road with Qarn Al Sabkha Road is likely to be opened, she included. “Phase II of the project will be started towards the end of March 2015 where Al Saadah Road will soon be related to Ibn Battuta Mall region, besides finishing various bridges and freeways in the vicinity which would mainly serve JLT, the Gardens, and Juemirah Park by joining all of these with Sheikh Zayed Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road,” Maitha continued.
